Meeting Minutes for Thursday, October 26th, 2006

As a club, we decided to donate half of our raised funds from the hot cider/hot chocolate sale on Nov. 4th. Three organizations were resignated as possible recipients:
  • Mott's Children's Hospital/Ronald McDonald House (Jeany)*
  • Orphanages (mostly international, in third world countries) (Helen)*
  • Theraputic Riding (Lubin)*

Coming Up:
What: Tree Planting with Rotary.
When: This Saturday, from 9 am-12pm.

Fundraising event at U of M game: We still need to hear back from Mr. Madison to see if we can sell hot chocolate.

Board Meeting Minutes--10/24/06

Board Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, October 24, 2006

Volunteer Opportunities:
  • Tree planting with Rotary, Saturday Oct. 28th, 9am-12
  • Decided not to participate in Lawton Book Sale
Fundraising:
  • Mr. Madison approved use of Pioneer corner for fundraising during the next football game
  • Still pending approval for hot chocolate sales, PTSO may be selling the same thing
  • Hot cider instead? coffee?
  • Decided on four or five 2-hour shifts on the day of the game; we will need to be set up in the morning, no matter when it starts
Another possibility: volunteering at Election Day, $40/person

To do:
  • Buy materials to sell hot drinks: insulated cups, lids, actual powder/drink, thermos
  • Ask around and talk to parents and staff; both are needed to supervise sales

Meeting Minutes for Thursday, October 19th, 2006

Brainstormed how to sell hot chocolate at UM football game
When:
Nov. 4th, time TBA

How:
Jeany will look into A1 Rentals to see if we can borrow supplies needed to make hot chocolate, or Club members can pool together their home thermoses for use

Who:
Hope that everybody can volunteer around two hours

For next week:
  • We'll have a sign up sheet and further details for tree planting with Rotary.
  • An email will be sent out reminding people who signed up for ESL to show up Wednesday during 7th hour, since some people were not able to make the ESL event this Wednesday, next week will be another semi-introduction meeting.
