Meeting Minutes for Thursday, September 7, 2006

Brainstormed focus project ideas:

• promoting literacy
  
• Humane Society of Huron Valley (deadline 09/19)
  
• Food Gatherers
  
• ESL tutoring
  
• Mott Outreach
  
• Children (ex. Gretchen's House)
  
• Music at assisted living centers...many of our members are excellent musicians
  

*decided not to go with school improvement because there are many other clubs at Pioneer that do the same thing

Introduction of executive board and new members...we're getting new members! This is good.

We decided to go with big, one-time fundraising over membership dues.
Here are some ideas:

• Cotton Candy (Huron did this, supposed made alot of $$. Would require renting a machine and spending a lunch or two selling)
  
• Bake Sale-at lunches
  
• Can collecting after U of M football games
  
• Selling water or other drinks at U of M football games
  
• Bottle Drive at PHS
